It's been 2 days since we launch our newest and largest addition on our virtual fleet. TSL Rosemary was our first GENERAL CARGO ship.
Our goal here in SARCA VS is to provide optimized add-on, and I guess TSL Rosemary is pretty optimized specially to low-end pc's.
PERFORMACE:
As a low-end pc user, I can say that my sailing experience is very smooth. In an open sea location, FPS plays around 60-70, while on a port scenery ex: Cebu Scenery by PSSS FPS plays around 40-60 fps, pretty smooth right? . But some graphics settings were changed to achieve that kind of performance.
Suggested graphic settings:
Turn of shadows/dense textures - but how can I navigate on the bridge without having a chance of being blind? Well, we baked the textures on our add-ons to make them look natural and even shadows are off
you can easily navigate the bridge.
Turn off render double sided - turning off render double sided will boost performance especially when you are in the pilot view.
Turn off simple mesh - moving parts such as;radar, propeller, rudder, etc. not moving? . Well turning off simple mesh is the fix!
Still not smooth? Try changing your water setting to either refract or reflect, instead of choosing them both.
ANIMATION:
One of the key features why TSL Rosemary caught the eyes of some virtual sailors. Assuming that you already saw its promotional video. Seeing those cranes and hatch moving in-game really spice up our virtual sailing!
